Event Details
Date: Friday, 25 April 2025
Time: Meet at 10:00 AM | Parade at 10:30 AM | Service from 11:00 AM
Venue: Gather at Waiau Pa Community Hall, followed by a service at Waiau Pa School Grounds
Every year, the Waiau Pa, Clarks Beach, and Patumahoe communities unite to pay tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and service of New Zealand’s and Australia’s armed forces.
The commemoration begins at Waiau Pa Community Hall, where veterans, local organisations—including the Fire Brigade, Scouts, and community groups—and residents assemble before marching together in a show of unity and respect. The ANZAC Parade then makes its way to Waiau Pa School grounds, where a formal service will be held.
During the service, we will remember those who served, reflect on the significance of ANZAC Day, and honour the legacy they left behind. Expect readings, speeches, the Last Post, and a moment of silence to mark this solemn occasion.
After the service, everyone is invited to Waiau Pa Community Hall for morning tea—a chance to come together as a community, share stories, and acknowledge the enduring spirit of remembrance over a warm cuppa.
🌿 Lest We Forget.
ANZAC Day is a time to reflect, connect, and honour those who gave so much. Whether you’re marching, attending the service, or simply showing your support, your presence matters.
All are welcome.
